General Admission Requirements for International Applicants

While each graduate program has slightly different requirements for admission, this list provides a general guide to assist you with preparing your application for submission. International applicants must submit ALL required items to the Office of University Admissions, no later than May 1 to be considered for Fall Semester and November 1 to be considered for Spring Semester admission: 

  1. A completed graduate application form, including a $55 non-refundable application fee
  2. A 250-500 word essay discussing your goals and objectives for pursuing admission to the degree program to which you are applying.
  3. Official documentation of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS)
  4. Official copy of appropriate program test scores or waiver (GRE/GMAT) 
  5. Two (2) letters of recommendation
  6. Official copies of all U.S. transcripts.  All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an agency that is a member of NACES (National Council of Credential Evaluation Services www.naces.org). Students who have completed post-secondary study should request a course by course evaluation that lists individual subjects and grades.
  7. Professional Resume or CV
  8. Audition or portfolio (required for Music/Art programs) 
  9. Copy of teaching certifications (required for most education related programs) 
  10. Praxis scores (required for most education related programs)
  11. Other supplemental items (as required by your program)
